Zakhar specializes in corporate matters such as joint ventures, corporate restructuring and M&A projects. His expertise also covers internal and external financing issues as well as taxation regimes in cross-border and domestic corporate transactions. Before establishing his own legal practice, Zakhar has worked at international law firm CMS Hasche Sigle Moscow office and a range of Russian law firms. His recent projects include:

- advising a large Turkish holding company with regard to acquisition of Russian business of a Polish furniture producer;

- restructuring of Russian business of a leading Chinese telecommunication company;

- advising a French investor with regard to its intention to operate water supply infrastructure under the concession agreement in one of the Russian regions;

- advising a large Turkish construction holding with respect to obtaining a loan facilities provided by the EBRD;

- counseling a large German bank before its expansion into the Russian market;

- advising an Austrian company being a major shareholder in a large chemical holding before selling its shares to the outside investor;

- reorganization of internal corporate structure in a Russian-German architectural company;

- advising a large Turkish construction holding with respect to participation in preparation to the Winter Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi.
